
In addition to fun with the Fleet Tinkering Studio, you'll be able to try out loads of other hands-on activities from the many other exhibitors at the Faire, check out unique applications of technology, listen to intriguing speakers and enjoy entertainment. Then test them out in our wind tube and experiment with drag and aerodynamics. We're bringing our wind tube and fun bits of paper, plastic and other materials that you can use to create sculptures and contraptions. The Tinkering Studio is one of the Fleet's most popular exhibitions, and we're taking a corner of it on the road to showcase it at the Faire. San Diego Mini Maker Faire is a one-day, family-friendly event that celebrates arts, crafts, engineering, food, music, science and technology projects and the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset.

Each four-week session provides developmentally appropriate, informal learning experiences that support and enhance exploration, create excitement and facilitate. The Young Makers program aims to spark, situate, and sustain maker clubs across the country by providing regional and/or national organizations with vetted resources, training, and curricular ideas.
